I would like to build a Headphone Amp that I can use as a good Preamplifier.
I think of 2 projects : Morgan Jones http://headwize2.powerpill.org/projects/showproj.php?file=cmoy5_prj.htm or Helmut Ahammer http://headwize2.powerpill.org/projects/showproj.php?file=ahammer1_prj.htm . For Helmut hammer I think of one simplified without relays (just a phone jack with integrated switch).
So I need opinions. Does somebody have built one of these amplifier and can tell me how they are ?
Does somebody have used Morgan Jones headphone amplifier like a preamplifier ? Does it need some changes ?
Does somebody have a better project ?

Well, my The Great El Spuddo! would make a great headphone amp as well as a pre amp and power amp. It is VERY quiet
