Electrostatic Amp Build Thread

Hi everyone!

I am planning on getting myself a pair of Stax SR-507s and building a suitable amp.

Now the question: Can anyone recommend an amp to build?
At the moment I am considering one of the eXStatA amps from Cavalli Audio or any amp by Mjölnir Audio.

The budget is around 300$. Good sound through solid construction rather than rare andexpensive parts is the goal.
A tube amp would be nice but good sound comes first.

I am only an intermediate DIYer when it comes to electronics, the only thing I have built is a SymAsym amp.

The goal is to make this a start to finish build thread and to be done in about a month.

KGST is easy to build and good sounding.

if you want go passive. those transformers costs each 130€
