noise cancelation

Hi guys,

I have a pair of stereo headphones, my problem is: the left one works perfectly, crystal clear, but the right one has static. So I opened it up. Under the speaker is a circuit board, then when I separate the speaker from the circuit board (even one inch) the noise disappeared completely, so I'm assuming there's some interference between the two. My question is; is there any way of insulating the speaker from the circuit board, like a material or anything? I don't think just electric tape would do...

Thank you, any advice or input greatly appreciated 🙂
