Corvette and Frigate are both overpriced. PaulPeter is not a disinterested party and is a shameless and persistent promoter of these products in inappropriate parts of forums where such activity should be confined to the commercial sections (spammer).

Better to look at the offerings from beezar.com:-

For which headphones ?

This one could be interesting the torpedo but it comes with the enclosure.

If a pcb is enough and you can source the other parts, you might want a look here too:

+1, assuming you have high impedance headphones.

+2 on the crack. it's the best i've built in that price range. It's perfect for high impedance cans but if you are using low impedance cans you can increase the size of the caps in the signal section. If you search the bottlehead.com forum there is a chart for cap size changes with freq. response and plently of tweaking threads where people have adjusted the components to work with Grados and such

I like the look of the bottlehead amp but was put off because I use Grados, might have to reconsider it now, thanks sbelyo!

I also like the hybrid kits these people are selling.

I build it and I'm quite happy with the result (it can also drive speakers)
