I am trying to fit my 1/4" jack into my slim B2-080BK case. It will fit fine now, but I accidentally scraped one of the bottom resistors. It looks like the tan stuff was just scraped away a little and the metal is still fine underneath. Will this cause any problems at all? Is that covering just like a protective thing? If I use electrical tape on the ends of my 1/4" jack to prevent it from touching anything metal and shorting when the amp is on, will that be alright? Pictures are attached. The one I am talking about is R2 the left side right underneath the socket that still needs an OPAmp. If you enlarge the photo you will see on the right side is where it's scraped off a little. Thanks.

The resistor looks okay to me, but replacing it is cheap. Your jack should be fine without tape, just make sure it doesn't touch anything with or without phones plugged in. Once it's assembled nothing should move around so it shouldn't be an issue. Plus electrical tape gets gross over time.
