If you are a beginner I'd HIGHLY recommend two things...buying a Forrest Mims book on basic circuit design from Radio Shack (they are the BEST out there) and all of the equipment that you need to breadboard the project with. Or better yet, get a 250-in-one or Snapcircuits kit and play, play, practice, and play. I recommend this more than anything!
Its going to be a QUIET amp with only one opamp but wth? You need to start somewhere!
This is a VERY easy project. I cannot tell you the joy that you will feel when you finish and it WORKS...its why I fell into this whole addiction in the first place...
