Any cheap good balanced-in unbalanced-out preamp?

Thinking of better-equipping my sound card which only has an unadjustable unbalanced input.

A cheap preamp with THD/THD+N of 0.0005%/0.001% or not too far from those values, which are slightly below the limits of the sound card.

Need it to be cheap and good, else I'd just buy an EMU 0204.

Any ideas?

Edit: I thought I posted it under chip amps...
