Another Cmoy Project

A small project with the Cmoy shema .
I have decided to make a PCB with two single AOP SO-8 .
Dimensions :52x54mm

I have received the CI ,and i am waiting for some components .

I will post some pictures in the next days .

Shunt Reg. by SALAS from the Hypnotize for the "CMOY"
The CMOY is connected to the analog ouput of the CD drive
The AOPs are OP 1611

The LTC 1364 has more dynamic ,more bass ,more details !!!!!! :hphones:

I have good CD records for testing your system and

i am very surprised by the good quality of the LG drive analog output . :cheers:

If you have ideas about a single AOP so good than the LTC 1364 give me your choice

I received two samples from TI :THS3121 SOIC :worship:

The best for the moment ....

for my configuration ....

Next step :
a CI for two LME49600 with a double AOP ( DIP8 ) or two single AOP ( SO-8)

LTC 1028:

There is always a souffle in the headphone and a little noise at the beginning of the potentiometer .

The gain is around 2 perhaps is not enough !!!!!

What is the best solution ,increase the gain or a capa at the input ?

Lt1028 with 5 for the gain is good .

I did some tests with LM317 and LM337 regulators .
One LM317 and one LM337 for each AOP .( Two single AOP ).

:nownow:

The results are :Where are the bass and the dynamic ?
I have no more fun listening to my CD

Probably:errors implentation ,bad capacitors choice .......
If you have any advices for improvement

For the moment the Shunt Reg. by SALAS is better .
This weekend some tests with OPA827 and OP1641

No the tests are Today !!!
And the winner is ....... OPA827

For the moment the best AOP are LT1028 and OPA 827 always with the Shunt Reg. by SALAS

The best AOP for this application and for me :hphones:

I need advices about this idea .
A Hypnotize ( Direct Coupled B-1 Buffer with Shunt Reg. By SALAS ) + LM49600

Is it possible to associate the B1 buffer and the LM49600 to make a heaphone amp !!
Perhaps it's stupido ,a very bad idea ...

Some news :

I began some tests with the LT1764 LDO regulator...

Not so bad !!!!

I have received two LT1363 (AOP Single) and i will continue the comparisons .

Some photos about the power supply with the LDO LT1764 Regulators .

On one Ci there are two LT 1764 one for the +13v and one for the -13v .
Why 13v .....1500 Ohms and 150 Ohms ....

There are two CI , one CI by single AOP .

I have also modified the Ci for the single AOP.I have added the place for capacitors diam 12mm ( Here NICHICON MUZE ) .

The AOP are LT1363 .

The results are very good .

The results are very good with the regulators LT 1764 .
Bass ,dynamic ....
Better than the LM317/337 but with the SALAS Shunt reg ,
there is a a little more realism that makes the difference !!!!!!

The tests now are done with an AKG 601 .....More details ,more bass ,more dynamic .

I have received an AOP from TI OPA 209 .
New Classification

-1- OPA 209
-2- LT1363
......
-3- OPA 827

I have just a problem wih the AKG the treble is sometimes a little bit too bright
What can i do ?

I have definitively abandoned the regulators LM317/LM337 or LT1364 for the benefit of the SALAS reg Shunt .Everything is better

Next Step :

The B1 Buffer followed by a TPA6120A2 .
