As long as the voltage range is sufficient, the OP07 will work fine.

Thank you . I have replaced the OP27 with the cheap OP07. Cannot hear a difference. The main transistor radiators are very hot, as they used to be. Wondering what does the OP amp change in the PSU?

I believe it is the error amp in the PSU, and no you wouldn’t hear any difference. These aren’t the type of applications where you “roll” opamps... they either work or they don’t.
