Hello and Happy New Year.
I would like to see if anyone is interested in joining me in purchasing big heat sinks. In order for me to get these heat sinks I need to purchase minimum of two 8ft rails. I have a quote and have a preliminary price of $ 70.00 per 8" piece. After I take what I need and what will be lost in cutting, there will be 18 pieces available. This price doesn't include cutting, shipping from manufacturer to me and than to your destination, taxes and paypal fees. This heat sink extrusion is immediately available only as uncut rail, and if ordered as cut pieces the price is higher and there is 12 weeks wait period. I have a place that would cut these extrusion in 8" size. I would like to see if there are enough people interested in this mini group buy. If I receive enough interested people I will work out the details after New Years and I will update price with details that I am missing. I am posting PDF of exact heat sink 8" long with all data you might need in order to do calculations. These are real heat eaters and would work well on any class A project. Let me know AR2 |

It was from authorized Aavid dealer - Components Center. If you have any better opportunity I would be quite happy to switch that way as I am in no way associated to them. I already have 8 pieces of the same style and I need 4 more. It has to be the same extrusion and that eliminates any chance of finding used ones. It is impossible to buy just the amount I need so that is why I am thinking of this small group buy.

I found that same extrusion some place on the web surplus. This place had a few 8' lengths last time I checked. Looks like they are now out of them.

Hello,
I would like to cancel this group buy because I found a place that was willing to sell small quantity of these heatsinks. The price was even much better - only $ 40.00 per 8" piece! If anyone is interested here is the link: http://www.darrahelectric.com/inventory_sale.htm and ask for Andy. Happy New Year AR2 |
