Looking for interest in OPA2134 group buy at the bottom of this page http://www.diyaudio.com/wiki/index.p...Filter+Boards+
Not a GB yet, but discounts get pretty substantial fairly quickly. Please express your interest on the WIKI page |

Does anyone know if it is possible to buy the OPA's straight from TI?
I know the MOQ is 1000 pcs, but ti.com quotes a price of $1.10 each vs. digikey's $1.4125/$1.365 each for 500+/1000+ quantities, meaning that we get 780 opamps at digikey for the same cost as 1000 from TI. If I could get more opamps for my money I wouldn't complain /U. |

Interestingly, today's price 1000+ from digikey for shipping to Germany is €1.156 including customs + VAT (about 19%). At today's exchange rate, this is $1,37. So are they effectively 20% more expensive in the US?

OK, seems the price no longer contains VAT, just duty. So we have to add 16%.

6172 is a fancier opamp than 2134, but more difficult to work with, (oscillates easier), and therefore need a better layout & psu.

As we approach 1,000 unit interest, TI's latest lead time is 12+ weeks - they are running a batch of 10K+ for 12 June shipment.
I could wait that long, to save a few bucks. Other opinions? |

I'm all in favor of getting the cheapest price. I'm skeptical that they would deal with us for a 1-shot 1KU order.
Bob--have you actually talked to anyone at TI to see if they can do anything for us? I'm adding my interest to the WIKI, and that should put us squarely above 1K. --Greg |
