I've just got an email back from Brisbane Sound Group with quotes. I think considering the $28 shipping for each unit from there, Melb members are likely to get better prices from a local dealer. Still waiting to hear back from them.

I'll post again when I have some more quotes in.

Note DCX and SRC aren't expected in until Feb, although due to back orders, it may in fact be March before we get them.

BSG quoted ~20% off RRP and 40% off EP2500 (might have been a mistake on that one), which becomes less after shipping. I think we can do better than this ...

I'll keep you all posted.

I've now contacted all the suppliers I have found in the past to be the best to deal with regarding Behringer equipment. While there are other dealers, I've found that they are either unwilling or unable to provide competitive prices, or they are music stores which mainly deal with instruments, bass guitar units etc.

If anyone else wants in on the group buy, please contact me with units you are interested in and which city you are in.

I'm hoping that we can push for 25% off RRP

Jon, I have a few things I need to clear up, I currently have some conflicting information. I'll post when I have cleared things up, hopefully by the end of this week.

Paul

When I bought a Behringer 3400 a year or so back, Pro Audio in Canberra was the cheapest in Aus. – did you check them?

Any updates on this? I am starting to read about this unit and may end up buying one.

Regards,
Bill

Hi guys, sorry for taking so long to get back to you all. Unfortunately I have to delay the things I was going to buy for some time. When I was making enquiries and getting prices the units which were most in demand were not available, however they should be now.

I was a little disapointed regarding the prices I was quoted, as I did not believe they were any better than could be obtained when one person buys a few units and asks for "best price."

However, if anyone would like to take off where I left off and organise from here, I can pass on the information I have at hand. I won't put quotes for particular stores here though. If interested, send me an email.

You may get better prices as I understand there was some uncertainty regarding the price of DCX.
