Replace the hard-to-obtain MAX6816 (debounce IC) with a CD4013
Rob,
Will the CD4013 work in the previous board?

No it will not. The CD4013 is a 14-pin dual flip-flop while the MAX6816 is a 4-pin dedicated device for debouncing applications.

Due to an unplanned work trip out of the country for 2 weeks, I will be extending the group buy until the end of August. If you haven't paid yet, please do so. Payment instructions are on the wiki page.

Hey guys, only 13 days 'til this group buy closes.

Time to cough up the dough so it won't be cancelled -- I want mine!

I also want one. But I'm waiting for a reply regarding the shipment costs to the Netherlands. When I know the exact total price I can make payment.

Hi,

I may be interested in a pair for my monoblock tube amps. Just a couple of questions.

I am on the wrong side of my mid forties and find myself having a harder time working with the small stuff. I have never worked with the really small parts so just how hard is it to solder SMT components?

Also, can the "optional soft start kit" handle B+ of 450 to 500 volts at a 100 to 150 ma?

Regards,
ck

ck -

You may have a few years on me, but I find one of these to be essential for most work: http://store.devinemedical.us/luxfluormagl.html

The relay isn't rated for that high a voltage. I suggest if you want to use this circuit with a tube amp that you place the current limiting circuit on the primary side of the transformer.
