Hi Ashok,

I understand the situation (I do not know much about India, but it sounds similar to other countries I know well...) but, if you would receive a small package as a gift worth 20-25 EUR from your friend Bruno who lives in Switzerland, would it still be considered as import?

A a side note, I am sure the parts I' m going to get are original ones from National and Onsemi.

Cheers,

Bruno

Hi all,

I realised that I've hijacked Roushon' s thread, so I decided to open a separate one for this group buy:
Gainclone Parts Group Buy

Further posts and comments on the new thread...

The wiki is the same:

Cheers,

Bruno

You better look harder in your market.
I found MUR1560 ( higher voltage ) for R42/- each. I'm sure it is cheaper in Bangalore and Mumbai.
I had bought 2SK1058/J162 in Mumbai a couple of years ago for Rs350/- a pair. They were genuine also.
So look around , you'll find it somewhere.
Have you not seen the posts on LM3886T which say it goes for Rs150/- ?
Stop importing till you are absolutely sure that you can't get it.
I would really like to know how much duty you would have to pay !
Cheers,
Ashok.
Hi Ashok,
Thank you very much and I appreciate your posting. I am also gald that some people paid attention to my thread. In my thread by `Group Buy' I did not mean that it has to be from outside India. I think that was the meaning some of my Indian friends here in this forum understood. As long as I get some original parts I will be happy. If any of my Indian friends wants to start a Group Buy I will just jump in. Electonics is my hobby and my profession is different and I have very little time to look around in the market. This is the reason I always want to get parts by post. I contacted RS components and the priceses are known to everybody and I already mentioned in a different thread. As Gajanan says one can tour to US with the price of few components from RS. Anyway,....thank you again.

Roushon.

I started this thread in electronics and parts and nobody seem to bother.

I contacted some distributors and they do not sell less that 50 pieces. And these (or any equivalent) are not available in India. If available then the price is out of my reach.

Now that I have explained my problem in details, someone help me. I need 16 pieces rectifer and 4 pieces regulator. As a second possiblity if someone would like to start a group buy of these I will be the first to join. Please provide some information....

I have deep faith in this forum that I will get help....

Thank you...

I purchased 8 MUR860 for Rs.18/piece from Bangalore. Now, I decided to use bridge module instead of MUR860 so if someone wants those in bangalore, let me know.

I also purchased LM338T for Rs. 85/piece but now I plan to use LT1083 (see my pcb in PSU forum) so even that I can sell.
