Hi Kari
Any possiblity of a lower price for the driverboard, seeing that more than twice as many as the suggested amount has been "sold"? |

I'll ask for a new quote. We are now up to 24mainboards and 80 driverboards so the price is going to drop from what i stated in the wiki page. I'll let you know as soon as i know.
Thx, Kari |

Hi Kari!
I've just ordered a few boards on the Wiki. 8) Ofcourse an outstanding amplifier also needs outstanding looks, so it it possible to let them fabricate on blue pcb? Only if it's alright with everyone.

Thanks Sander, I totally missed it when I reread the thread.
Say, what type of parts are you guys planning on using? I think I may do it up on this one. For my Zen IV is used the recommended parts at Digikey but on this one I think I will use Holco H8 for the .25W resistors and Mills MRA-5 for the power resistors. For the capacitors I will use Blackgate type N caps for the 220uF and Nichicon in the power supply. I have asked Victoria Magnetics for a quote on the toroidal power transformers for 750 VA with dual 18 volt secondaries. I am undecided on the rectifiers though. I am ordering 4 rectifier board kits from Bigparsnip but I have 2 pairs of Ixys bridges in the parts bin. I guess I will decide later. I have no clue what caps to use for the 10pF caps so maybe someone can suggest something. And lastly I have 2 sets of 12 matched 244"s and 2 matched pairs of 9610's thanks to Matteyo5 What do you guys plan to use?

For those in the states looking for a toroidal, Victoria quoted me $94 with a lead time of 3 weeks for 750 VA, 120 VAC primary and dual 18 VAC secondaries. It sounds like a good deal to me. 18 vac should give you 24 VDC with a simple capacitive filter which should net about 118 watts into 8 ohms.
