JPS64 and I are working on an integrated compact dual rail supply on same stereo board to make this project a lot more user friendly. We are thinking maybe simple Class 2 wall wart trafo to power a nice DC-DC dual rail step up, followed by state of the art TI ultra low noise LDO linear regulators and then some additional filtering.

A standard linear trafo and CRC and 7815/7915 works but FFT floor is not flat battery quiet like the way I like to see it. Inaudible of course but bothers me that it’s not like a battery.

Yes, but we are re-spinning PCB to have integrated SOA dual rail supply from single rail 5.5mm barrel jack input from say, a laptop brick etc.

Although the board may be getting respun as integrated stereo with built in PSU do not sure if “pair” is correct term.

hey X thanks for the mention! if it requires dual rails I may be out - not really confident with mains AC/transformers. Actually this is what is holding me back from building speaker amps.

but if you do manage to get it running off a wall wart with DC step up and splitter etc I'd be up for it!
This also looks pretty cool too - would you be making up any HPA boards? (however would also be waiting on a wall wart/DC step up solution for the dual rails)

That's the plan - JP and I are designing it as we speak and I am ordering parts to proto on breadboard before we commit to ordering full blown integrated PCBs with PSU's.

Ah ok gotcha. Thought it was a gb for the boards as rendered in the first post.

Would it be worth waiting for this one before ordering the aksa preamp boards to save on postage?
