Hi,

Building the DCG-3 but missing 150R for R3. I have spare 221R and/or 133R.

Can I use one of these or should I add 2x150R to my next Mouser order?

Tia
Steef

The kits included 221R. All kits I provide will have a J3 that will work with a 221R part.
In testing of many J3/Q5 parts, the best fit was a 221R to get a better yield of parts that are useful.

FYI:
I am waiting to hear more from the shipping labeling companies for alternative solutions they intend on using. For now, everything international need to be a first class package.
They start at 15.00, and a typical shipment for DCG-3 is 25-30.00

Overview of changes:
Starting January 21, 2018, First-Class Mail International Service for Flats containing merchandise will no longer be available directly from the USPS. This means that no merchandise (goods) can be mailed using the First-Class Mail International service.

A design from from a Greek is sold out of the USA. Because of the EU customs duties. that makes the hardware more expensive for Europeans. It's probably called globalization.
But it doesn't seem to work any other way.

I am interested in the Salsa DCG-3 PCB and the critical “DCG-3 Transistor kit”.
For the PS I will use the "Sjostrom SSR03 Super Regulator Power Supply Board"
Is there a BOM with “Farnell order nr.” for the “Additions for full kit” and “Other parts” available?
Or just the PDF from page1 of GB For Salas DCG-3 and DCSTB Power Supplies?

I would like to build the DCG-3 as the PreAmp/Headphone stage for the “Soekris dam 1021 R-2R DAC”.
Because the DAC integrated volume control destroys the pure DSD path I will use a volume control within the DCG-3. Any hints for that?
I don’t need a input selection.

Ah, everyone outside of USA just got hit with me not being able to send flats with merchandise. So what used to be 8 is now 16-24, or even 35 if you order a bunch of parts with heatsinks.

Yet USPS subsidizes shipping from China. Not all is fair for certain. Lets not politicize an arrangement that Salas and I have had for years that works for most people.

I have a few boards and transistor kits in stock if you are interested. PM with an email address.
There is a Mouser BOM, which might help in parts selection.

You should think yourself lucky Fred that you don’t live here in Brexit land. I have no idea how much I will be paying for imported items but the currency has already taken a hit.

Okay,

If you have not received one, please private message me and I will send it to you. The GB will close at midnight on 5/27/18. Please make payments before the end of that day. Any paypal invoice I send should be able to be paid by Credit card or Debit card without a paypal account needed.

Tomorrow evening at 11:59PM EST 5-27-18 The Group Buy closes.

All unpaid invoices after that time are subject to being cancelled.
If I have not heard from you via Private Message, then you will be deleted off the list at that time as well, and not put on a future waiting list. This helps keep board demand and ordering realistic for supply and demand.

If you want to be part of the Group Buy, You must be signed into spreadsheet (linked in my signature), have received or sent me a private message (with your email so I can send an invoice to you, with your physical shipping address as well). You also must complete the paypal transaction by this time as well.

A new GB is going to close out on 12/9/2018 (or 9.12.2018 for some).
If you have signed up previously on the spreadsheet I should have private messaged you.

The boards will be slightly different, same cost.
There are small changes as mentioned here.

Salas DCG3 preamp post #3207

They boards will also not be matte anymore. The cost became too high, and does not add to performance of board in anyway. So these will be standard black.
