I am willing to do the job. But no idea about the quantity required, how much time I will get,how many good pairs we will get from the total etc

What are the parameters to be matched Vbe, Hfe and Vd or only Vbe or hfe ?

Joshvi, thank you for your willingness to match the transistors.

I have prepared the shown order-form (image 1).
Everybody needs two FC-100 PCBs, the total price of which is 24.
Then he needs two frontend PSUs (either LT3062 based or Mihai's shunt-regulator).
I have asked Mihai to give me his opinion about the LT3062 regulator.
The price for the 2 PCBs is 10.
I recommend that the participants buy 8 pieces of each NJL0281DG and NJL0302DG (allthough only 6 pieces of each are needed),
to increase the chance to find 2 well-matched triples of each for every participant.
Joshvi will supply the 2SA/2SC transistors.
I myself will order 12 pieces of MPC74 0R1 emitter resistors for each of the participants.

I will stop this group-buy, as soon as there are 5 participants.
Please, gentlemen, hurry up!
I am getting a little bit nervous while observing the stock of Mouser's NJL-transistors.

Best regards - Rudi_Ratlos

Hi Rudi,

Would you be sending out order form or sharing it in google docs.

I would be in for one full set. With lt and shunt reg boards. Just in case if I fail with lt

Hi Rudi,
From what I have seen of the NJL series transistors, most are closer out of the tube than most attempts to match them might yield. Are you seeing a wide parameter spread?

Keep in mind that I'm "Mr. Match", and will match most anything. The current new design output transistors are closer in beta than ever before. It's the signal transistors, mostly the diff pair, the really need close matching.

As a side note, thanks for redoing this group buy for an excellent amplifier!

-Chris

Chris, when I did the first round of group buy for the FC-100 back in 2011, I have indeed had a very wide parameter spread (despite the fact that they are "0" transistors).
Especially the integrated thermal diodes varied very much!
But you are right: the current production has much less deviation!

MOUSER has only a small stock of NJL0 transistors left, and it depends on the participants, how quickly they jump onto this group buy train.
It would be best if JOSHVI can order 40 pieces of each today or at least tomorrow.

Best regards - Rudi

Just to show you, how my own FC-100 looks like (image 1).

It is driven by 2 transformers rated at 2x25VAC/225VA each.
It uses 2 of Mihai's shunt regulators to drive the frontends.

I have mounted my Soft-Power-On PCB on top of the 2 transformers.

The heatsinks are "kind of overkill".
They are never getting hotter than 31C.

This is the current order list.
Joshvi will order the NJL0-transistors tomorrow morning.
