Forgot to add in my previous post :

If you definitely favor R-cores instead of flatblocks, Selectronic also offers the Shilchar 14VA's without a mounting plate.
Can be glued straight to the board (with silicone, not hot melt), add a tie-strap and two holes in the board, and it's seated superior to a pcb-mount transformer. (no stress on solder tabs, plus flexible mounted transformer).
Saves some grams, and costs a few Euros less.

(plus for Euro outsiders, a bonus of 115Vac+115Vac split primaries)

Thanks jacco, i'll have a look at it.. i still haven't decided which way to go. I would have perfered the PCB's without transformer mount, but since this is the final design i maybe will go for the flatbacks since that will be much simpler than looking around for r-cores to fit. Still not in hurry buying this since i'll have to finish my pre-amp before i start the Phono-stage project :)
