I have not followed the whole thread so closely - so any info about selection and pairing process will be helpful. Maybe there is more to know.

Browsing around among suppliers, it seems that somebody is vacuming for bc327/337-40
out there

Just for info. I just measured 75 pcs. of CDIL BC337 and many of them were out of spec.
hfe 230-270. I guess it should have been marked -16 or -25 instead of -40 So be aware that some factorys might sugarcoat the trannies with wrong markings.

My Fairchilds had high hfe npns and low pnps. but the Diotecs gave a lot of good pairs

I have tried curve tracer (luky_z) and npn mesure fine (maybe)
PNP are way out with hfe going up to 760 which is way out of speck as 680 is max for for 40 type

This with 100% original fairchild from fairchild direct

So I am thinking that maybe sometink wrong with intelligent, not so much, curve tracer (mine at least)
Still get same nice curves and maybe to group togheter is quite handy.
But as a lab instrument is more on toy category as manual to correct error is praticaly none existant.

I am waiting for batch as suplied on Paradise parts to try and mesure those new batches and confirm that my curve tracer has ofset error on PNP.

In the mean time if Frans could post details of his set up and mesurament parameters this would be greatley apreciated

I have a lot of high hfe PNP´s too. Other have the oposite problem. Pdul and i solved that problem with trading. It worked well for me and his high hfe PNP are on the way.
