Good initiative rvrazvan ! However I feel it is better to start a new separate thread on this for instance with the title: "Case for group buy ES9023 DAC" or something like that. Just to keep things concentrated.

What material will be used ?

Well...i would like something like this

Or this(not a dac, but i like it)

I will use some wood/venner for aestethics. Aluminium or 2mm steel for the rest, powder coated. It will be alot cheaper if i stick to 2mm sheet metal.

I want the price to stay below 50$.

I was thinking of making small case from solid bullet aluminum just to fit the board but cost is too high.

I have one of the units completed for sale. It was built by JP himself. It sounds exceptional and is the equal or better of anything I have in house, cost no option. Please pm me if you would like details/photos of it.

Hi Åke, we are still looking for other (discrete) solutions as LM723 needs at least 9.5 V input voltage. We are also willing to know how many of the group buy participants would like to have a power supply PCB too. For calculating Rsc please see data sheet of LM723.
