I negotiated the shunt transformer with BADEL (the company that will produce them) yesterday.

This is their current offer:

4 x 34VAC / 20W (!) incl. magnetic shiedling: 22€

20W is more than is needed for 4 of Mihai's shunts.
Do you agree?

The weight of this transformer will be 400 gr.
Shipping cost worldwide will be 3.45€ then.

Gentlemen, I received confirmation that the PCBs will be etched on October 13th.
I will then have them on October 17th and will ship them to you ASAP.
You all should have the PCBs and components by end of October then.

I will try and include the shunt transformers into the letters of those of you, who ordered them.
This will not decrease the shipping cost though.
Shipping cost is 3.45€ for letters with a weight < 500gr and 7.00€ with a weight < 1.000gr.
The weight of the transformer accounts for about 400gr.

Find attached the current "shunt-transformer" order.
I will ask you to pay as soon as I have the exact price.
I will close the "shunt-transformer - order" on coming Monday, 1st of October.

P.S. The BADEL company does not have any transformers "on stock".
They wind transformers on behalf of the clients.
The price of a transformer depends on the current copper price, shipping costs, ...

Rudi, in the photo of the FC100, there is a white connector for the wires leading from the 4x 34VAC transformer. Can you tell me who makes these or where I can get them? Thanks

Jean, I suppose that it is MOLEX who produces this connector.
Its name is: PSS 254/3G.

But you can take any 3-pole connector with a grid of 2.54 mm in this place or solder the wires directly to the PCB.

Hello Jean,

but there are extreme better terminals:

WAGO 261-336 - 4-Leiter-Klemme mit Flansch, bis 2,5mm, or bei reichelt elektronik

for example. There is no screw which can hurt the wire and you are able to clamp massive and strand wires as well.

The word you must search for is the manufacturer Wago. They make a million several types.......

I prefer the enclosed version for mains connections and careless handtools.

I greatly appreciate the effort you're doing. In addition, these transformers are unobtainable except by a special manufacture.
