Are you saying one could use AD1896 as an 8x fs oversampling filter, I guess with the fifo's master clock this would work. I've heard reports that the AD1896 can be programmed for a pseudo apodizing filter, this is something not really available for the PCM1704 (a good oversampling filter algorithm, unless you diy code.)

Also can't wait for the PCM board, are you going to announce the new thread on this thread (don't want to miss it) ?

Last any reports on the new Fifo rev with SM5842 ?

Hi Ian,

I have got the same kind of question as Necplusultra :

Is the output of the FIFO board able to drive 2 * DAC inputs (either PCM 1794 or WM 8741) in dual mono config and if so, what extra parts would be required (any additional resistors to be fitted on PCM or WM I2S inputs ?)
