Device not found

Has anyone tried to run the curve tracer under Wine in Linux? I have the curve tracer connected to a USB port, powered at 32 volts and the USB/RS232 switch set to USB. When I click on "Auto Detect & Get Parameter" the response is "Device not Found".

Linux lsusb -v detects the device.

I am investigating further, but there appear to be problems running the curve tracer thru Linux/Wine.

I had no linux,and had not test under linux.


You can also use the following steps to determine the MCU is working.
Use a wire short the three X,Y,Z socket and power-on, and you will hear 7～8 relay sounds.This mean the MCU is working.
And the communication speed will automatic set to 2880bps.

I have very little experience with Linux and especially Wine, but I believe that with any hardware you need to install the Linux driver package for the USB interface (PL2303 chip) under Linux for it to be able to communicate with the software (even if it's running under under wine-dows)

You'd probably have better chance on a Linux support forum.
Look for installation of the PL2303 chip

Alternatively, try with the RS232 interface..

Hello,

After several months closing this group buy, I (re-)discovered that I still have two curve tracers available.

Same conditions as 1st post apply.

Note: one of the curve tracers is in France, so I especially recommend to German DIYers (and maybe other European Union fellows) as it can avoid the customs issue of shipping from China
