my guess is you havent read any of the taunting emails BF sent people gloating about how he had their money and wasnt giving it back.

I dont think its necessarily a scam yet either, but the alternative isnt that much better. the only reason my posts have escalated is because people keep on coming in, quoting me and saying 'aah dont worry about it, hes been good in the past' what are you worried about and then gone on to ignore or worse minimise the subject of my frustration by saying everyones orders are delayed because of mouser...which has nothing to do with me

what i do not appreciate is being ignored, i couldnt give a toss about the money, i'd spend more on a meal and probably still tip the waitress if it sucked. but what i do care about is having my posts not answered for weeks and then a blanket post made that doesnt address my concerns or give any information at all and say to email him if i had a query to an email that he said would go straight to his mobile/tablet. i sent that email nearly 3 days ago now....

basically i was going to send the paypal dispute last week, but found there was 45 days not 30 so gave him some more time and also thinking maybe it wouldnt help others situation. but i'm at the point of reporting it, so i dont have to come back in here and defend my posts, when i'm the one being wronged here

I was NOT defending BF, but Jokener. iMHO the offense of deformation is more easily proved the way much of the inuendo was heading about him. And my point was that I know you and many others were burned.

Regarding BF You are right, i had not seen his skiting, but i can also tell you from experience that you have little options under the law. The DPP will be unlikely to want a bar of BF even if the police do. You have small claims to at your disposal, but even if they find in your individual favours, remember, not such thing as a class action under small claims action, it will cost you though give you some satisfaction. In my opinion Paypal have a lot to answer for here by allowing him to trade after repeated issues. What is his total debt? A fewnhundred, and as he had stock and orders and some fulfilment, you can not claim premeditation, as he would have not paid out a single cent.

So the best you can hope for is:

1) is so scared of the consequences he never even thinks of trying dishonest practices again.
2) these dishonest people (and it is a minority) never stop, until they are stopped, so until he committs something seriously enough to attract a felony charge, it is up to those that are owed to undertake direct action to recover, that does NOT mean unlawful, but direct.
3) you can try the AFP high tech crime centre, they might have a file on him and at least add this to the case material. Afp.gov.au search for 'ahtcc'. Send them your collection of emails and posts and when they pick themsleves up of the floor from laughing so hard that a group of geeks got scammed by a kid, they might pay him a visit. I understand you know where he lives.

I was very recently burned with an online deal so,I know, how pissed this make people feel, but in myhundreds of deals and tens of thousands of $$ i have only had to bad deals for about $200 on total, sometimes you gota just roll with the occasional punches. I still transact and have faith in most parties to do the right thing, but as they say buyer beware.

I truly hope you all get what BF owes you and so does he.

Hi Jokener if you read this I want to cancel my order (I havn't paid you anything, so i hope its ok)

I wanted to get started with this project so my order went to jdslabs instead.

To everyone else, i hope you all will get things sorted out. I am sure Jokener has a very good reason for not responding.

best regards

Well, I had a little browse on the other O2 group buy and found a link to a little mains adaptor which looked just right (for the UK) on ebay. So I bought it in anticipation

I filed a paypal dispute as well, it's been 5 days since his last post. I hope all is well with Jokener, but clearly not happy with the lack of communication on this thread.

roulston, my post from the second paragraph onwards was referring to jokener. sorry but this tis just too much, weeks of nothing then the post to say he would answer emails straight away and no reply top any posts or emails since then; indeed something is really starting to stink

Sometimes people have serious problems to deal with. Considering Jokener's past (mostly good?) admin of the previous GB and his message then we have to assume that he's got something pretty serious going on. Perhaps he was involved in a new years eve car crash, got jailed, got bailed, bail retracted if that's possible: that might explain the otherwise difficult to understand lack of coms. Or something else that might hinder coms.

In any case I'll be forced to go through with the paypal dispute eventually; but if he comes through then I'll send payment again.

I get it, and you might be right to be concerned only time will tell, and time is part of your problem. I hope your concerns are un founded.

While one can never know precisely the complications that people have in their lives, a simple message of reassurance should not be difficult.

Strangely, i sit on a Government taskforce whose mission is to improve the safety, security and thus confidence in using cyber systems and services to live, learn, transact, conduct business and of course shop. Education, controls and identity assurance but not actually be in control. As you can imagine, this is not as easy as it sounds.

Good luck to all GB members.

Tony.
