GB Thread for Salas SSLV1.1 BiB shunt reg

Thanks !

Can I just clarify this, "The minikits are made for one of the three sections of the PCB. The board itself can hold two positive and one negative rail type supply."

If I want one low voltage board (three reg channels), do I need one or three minikits ? I think 3 but I'd like to check.

Many thanks !

If you just want a +3.3v power supply for a DAC for instance, then you would need 1 minikit and one board. This would leave you a plus and minus rail to spare.

Another example might be a buffalo dac - I think it uses one 5v and a +/- 15v. So this would take one whole board and 3 minikits.

The minikits are optional products. It helps some buyers who otherwise would have to pay a lot to source the gear. But I have tried to make them special by using low PPM resistors.

Guys, here is the link for the next GB. I dont have any extra stock of boards. I do have extra minikits if needed. Please post what you want. the quicker we get to ~100 boards, the sooner I will order more.

King, I am not sure which one you edited, but please use the one above.
Thanks.
Tea

I have put my name down for 1 set of boards, and 2 minikits....

Is the mini kit suitable for my application: 6.5-7.0V out at 1.5A pluse safty margin...Salas suggested me to use IRF9530

Thankyou,

King

Hey king,

For technical questions, you need to go to the development thread. This is the i-want-to-buy-only thread.

Details of the kit are here :

http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/blogs/tea-bag/741-bib-minikits.html

It doesn't mention heatsinks at all because that's for the builder to determine according to their current demands, so it's not possible to include correct heatsinks.

Quote :

"What is NOT included.

No caps, connectors, pots or resistors for set adjustment. No Rx01 resistor, rectifier diodes or stand off screws. No PCB, that's seperate

Mica and small bolt washers are included. The mica may break in transport. Forgive me.

King, the extra LEDs are for mix and matching if needed green and red. There is enough to do all in red if needed. Instead of lowering power resistor, one can use 4 green LED's and the CCS will heat right up! They run ~2v were the reds ~ 1.85 v each.

The full SSHV2 kit list is here.

Tea-Bag....with the +IRF mini kit....can I have IRF9530 instead of IRF9610 for Q101; or can I buy one more of IRF9530 please??

I can get you what you want. But have you run that by Salas, to make sure it will operate okay? Sound familiar, but I am not certain. PM me what you want and I will get it over to you.
