Default PSU: Let there be light.

Build of PSU and LS-Protect boards finished successful today (LS-Protect not shown).

It was a nice sunny day, so the LED lighting is hard to see on the attached image.

The transformers are 2x25V 225VA, so the voltage on the DMM is a bit high, but OK (Theory 25V x 1,4142 = 35,36V)

Black-light LEDs would be better for daylight operation

Default 3/4 done

Silly me I ordered the wrong L profiles 40 x 40 x 4 x 140 ( the only thing right is the 140 ), I did order the right ones today 50 x 50 x 5 x 140, it is a public holiday today, so I hope they get cut and send tomorrow so I can continue on Saturday.

The 1st picture attached shows the boards, and the "BIEGELEHRE", G translate translates it as "Bending tool for bending of components", Rudi thanks for putting it on the BOM, this little thing saves lots of time.

Wow, two issues found by looking at the 2nd picture I just uploaded.
- The left fuse is only partially inserted.
- The upper 2n5551 (in the middle of the board) is upside-down.

Gijsbert, remove the jumpers from the 2-pole connectors above the 2SA1381 / 2SC3503. You will else not benefit from the on-board CAP-multiplier.
And do not forget to isolate the upper PCB-area from the ALU-L - profile.

Much luck and best regards - Rudi_Ratlos

Default Nice and shining

The L profiles did arrive, the drill template was a great help.

Today it is raining cats and dogs, so I expect to make some progress...

Watchtmouse: this looks good.
Please take care that that none of any transistors (none of their pins) that are mounted on the ALU-L has a contact (resistance) to the ALU-L.

Best regards - Rudi_Ratlos

P.S. @EVETTE: I do not have any PCBs left. But I will send you the Gerber files. Maybe you find an etching company in Canada that will etch some PCBs for you.

Thanks Rudi,,Sorry to inform you that I don,t believe there is any body here that can make the quality that your company produces. What you and Mr.Metal produce is a work of art. Joe
