I can now confirm that the vertical lines visible under certain angles at the front panel is a material problem.
F5X -- the EUVL Approach So all front panels will be remachined again using proper materials from the right supplier. This will likely costs quick some delay (a month or so). If the majority decision is for us to ship as is, so that you can have them before Christmas, and then receive only new panels later in a second shipment when they are ready, we are happy to do this. But we would like to ask you to then to pay for shipment of the second sets of panels. Our preferred solution is to ship when the new panels are ready (one shipment with delay). Much less work for all concerned (not the least the local distributors). John, please kindly organise to come to a joint decision (by simple majority). Terribly sorry for the delay, Patrick . |

Is delayed shipment, with an spare front panel included, an option?
I would love to get my hands on a second panel and my patience is infinite ![]() Cheers, Nic |

No, because we'll make sure you cannot use the reject panel.
Also it is of no use if you do not have the other parts. And the last thing I want is for you to make the remaining parts yourselves. Don't like people bastardising my design. ![]() Sorry, Patrick |

Thanks Patrick for the update.
I’m happy to wait until the new front panels are ready, more work and money doesn’t sound like much fun in return for some patience. Here’s a simple vote, please fill in; johnwmclean ship later = 1 ship now = 0 |

I vote for delay and ship when the new panels are ready.
Can returning the faulty material to the supplier help with getting reimbursement for the wasted costs? |

No. Total lost. 1. Most engineering material is destined for industrial use and there is no cosmetic specs. 2. Most of the cost involved are machining costs rather than material. But my problem, so my loss. Patrick |
