This Fx5 cost more than the commercial F5?

More active device and bigger transformer. Will the power output be bigger and have more gain than the commercial one?

I need to make a decision soon and I do not want to regret later.

Thanks.

read the threads and Euvl's posts.
F5x is a balanced amplifier and requires a balanced signal as well as a balanced impedance source.

Mr pmchoong, alas I have no equipment or knowledge of how to tap heatsinks. I am bewildered at your assumption that I ever could, I can only assume you have not read the thread thoroughly?

We are in the process of finalising costings regarding pre tapped heatsinks from Conrad. Please be patient gentlemen there is work going on in the background.

Cheers
John

Thanks John. I have also found the tread 'balance F5'. Is this related to this F5X?
Thanks

Thanks, John. Too much to read...and probably would not understand these technically anyway....I don't think I'll regret going ahead with this case. What happened to the Mosfet? And the transformers? Is there a GB on these?
