I wasn't even aware of this thread until Salas pointed it out to me this morning. Thanks Scott, much appreciated, especially in the light of your PC disaster (sorry to hear about that).

Interesting servo idea--great that I'm not the only one not running JFETs at Idss for low noise.

I'll need to think a bit about the opamp arrangement; Ccomp looks like positive feedback at first.

New PC is great, I can't believe every device driver has worked. I have committed to Jan to do an article for his ezine. Other things will have to wait till the new year.

Hello Scott,
There is no article in #2 of Linear audio, while it was announced. May be next year?

4 years on, I finally got round to building something.
Only half way through, not yet tested, but simulated on Space beforehand.

Supply voltage is changed to 9V, as I want to use a single battery.

Amazing how long it takes to get anything done around here!

Nice work!

I only started doing the PCB in January after building my own LNA.
It has a bit too high gain of 10000x, and use complex power supplies.
And then I revisited Scott's circuit, and thought a small battery powered version would be handy.

But yes, still takes too long than I would like.

Finally all finished.
Most sincere thanks to Scott for the circuit.
