What is that in the large horn of the rockets? A large cone/ compression coax driver?

This is JMLC-228 with Radian 950/Truextent, highs JMLC-1500 with BMS 4538 that will be replaced soon with JBL 045Be-1. Bass is active (Kappa 15a).

Interesting show of versatility of your mid horn. What frequency are the crossovers.

Crossover point at about 5kHz. Active bass has adjustable crossover up to 450Hz varies.

For those who like BMS 4590 here is crossover I made for a friend that uses Altec 416 (Onken 380 liters) and Minphase. It is based on full 180deg polar.

Not yet. Our friend is 18sound owner friend and he just tested Ti version so far. Not bad but Radian 951 (Truextent) is still no. 1

Help needed in making a decision

A system I am working on would benefit from some input. I am following Lynn Olson's Beyond the Ariel project where he describes the LTO Apollo here:

My project will be a "poor man's" effort and favor an elliptical format for the horn. I want a smaller form factor for the horn. My crossover point will be determined. I would like any input for the relative merits to choose between the E-JMLC 600:

or the Iwata 600:

Lynn's description of the Azurahorn 450 should serve as a bull's eye of sorts:

"The horn is an Azurahorn AH425, which is a custom-designed (bespoke) LeCleac'h with a T ratio of 0.707 and matched for a compression driver with an exit angle of 8 degrees. The AH425 diameter is 16.5" and works best in free-air mounting with about 2 inches of separation from the top of the bass cabinet."

Ejmlc has twice as wide HF dispersion. Use it with DE500 or similar. Disadvantage? Carefully measure power reponse and equalize otherwise at some angles and higher loudnesses you can hear some midrange tonal abberrations. Much like waveguides. Iwata is easier to work with.
