Waveguides and horns

Ha, funny...I was ready to buy the Beyma TPL-150H and then I realized that I have the AST25120 and I can re-use them...but of course there is no horn in front of them...yeah I have no idea how they compare to the TPL150H....that driver is very highly regarded.

No I don't think that is right. Compare the -5db contours for both the tractrix and the JMLC and you will see that the tractrix has a much narrower beamwidth at higher freq than the JMLC, which is to say the tractrix beams more. Its rate of change of beamwidth is a little slower however, but its coverage is narrower.
Assuming Troy Crowe's polar charts are accurate for this horn https://josephcrowe.com/products/3d-cad-model-for-horn-no-1689-800hz-es-circular-horn , would not the polar chart of the Martin AH425 horn have substantially less narrowing at higher frequencies? Amazing that after all of this time I've yet to find charts on that specific horn.
