Oliver,
I recieved the boards, thank you. Can you please give us (tube illitirate) some pointers on HOW to go about with this upgrade. 1.Once I completed the board, what should I check first before I hook it up to the Lampizator? When do I need to adjust the pot? 2.If I will use 12AX7 or 6N6P tube, what will be value of resistor in place of 56R resistor? How to do the computation or reference? 3. What else do I need to change? Thanks, Joe |

after dissoldering the TB1 & TB2 bridges, connect the HV-Shunt to the TB1 input of the Tube-I-zator and measure the input voltage. It must be stable ~170VDC if you come from a 150VAC tap of your transformer. If that´s ok, connect the output of the HV-Shunt to the TB1 output tap of the Tube-I-zator pcb as on my photos (don´t forget to bridge the TB1 & TB2 output tap´s). Then measure the B+ output voltage of the HV-Shunt and set it with the pot to 150-155VDC. That´s it. The 12AX7 has the same resistor values as the 6N2P. For the 6N6P (6H6) Lucas Fikus recommend also the same B+, Rk & R I/V values. I myself don´t try this one.

Oliver,
Would you add one more pcb for the HV shunt regulator. It should read now: Jean-Charles 2X I don't know how to edit the Forum properly at the risk of damaging something. Thank you |
