Just a technical question about complements. The LSJ74 are still in gestation and original 2SJ74 are a rare/expensive commodity (especially in this neck of the woods, "The Global South").
I don't understand the basics of FETs very well so this question may be stupid but can we build a low noise complement to the LSK170s that we now own by running a few 2N5460's (or similar) in parrallel the way we can with bipolars? (i.e. LM394 etc) If so, can anyone suggest an online tute' or place where we can learn how? Thanks, Jonathan

Try http://www.ampslab.com/components_fets.htm for both 2SJ74BL and 2SK170BL. I just got 20 of each last week, $1 each. Mike is a great guy and reputable seller.

Hi Folks
I have just found a distributor near me who supplies lsk389s. I wondered how people have found these parts compared to the 2sk389 originals. I am going to make some discrete opamps and wondered whether to get the lsk389s. Can you recommend them? cheers Aidan |
