Default What to do with old but still working SD 60" CRT RPTV?

Hi -

I've got a 15 year old ProScan 60" RPTV that has never been heavily used that works fine (maybe the remote could use new batteries) and looks pretty much as good as it ever did, but I just moved up to HDTV and I don't have a good place to put it.

Anybody have any ideas what I should do with it? I hate to throw a perfectly good TV away and am open to donating it, selling it for a low price or possibly even giving it away.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Yeah Salvation Army, Goodwill Industries, those guys will also give you a receipt in case you can use a tax deduction.

Nobody will want to buy it, and it's too big for most people even as a gift. Further, there are really no parts inside worth scrounging.

I would buy that thing in an instant if I saw it-CRT projection is by far the best image quality you can get IMO (then again this is from the guy that still watches laserdiscs). If you live anywhere close to me I'd be happy to take it off your hands if you don't find anything else to do with it.

From what I remember from seeing 1990s projection RPTVs in stores, they were only good for very large rooms. You had to get a long way back from them before the scan lines stopped being offensive.

Maybe some old folks home or homeless shelter sort of place would take it.
