Default 3D displays

I have no idea if this has been discussed before as I don’t visit the video forum that often.
Philips seems to have developed a new generation of displays, capable of giving the viewer a 3D experience without special 3D glasses.

Myself, I have a twenty year old CRT Tv that is ‘off’ most of the time but I can imagine that many big screen and projector fans will be happy to see this new evolution.
Imagine a combination of this and the OLED technology.

Any future in this for the Diy-world?
