My first Valve Amp went for a swim under Southend Pier, I was 12yrs old.
When I got home my Granddad said I put to small a bulk cap in he was right rebuilt it with 470uF @ 500V and not a 20uF @ 600V and the sound was much better good old John William Wonfor.

Soon after my Dad Tony bought me a GET01 Germanium Transistor for 10 shillings lots of money then, I have never used it and it is in my museum along with a few OC, and AD transistors.
