This is a three stage guitar amp based on the Champ 5F1 schematic. I added a chocke. Cotton coated wire is used throughout as hook-up with the original Jupiter hand made beeswax, paper and foil caps, 40 year old Australian made 6V6GT black glass and 12AX7.
This amp is coupled to a vintage Jensen 12" speaker with Alnico magnet. I wanted to get close to the original Champ sound. Even the solder I used is 30 years old. See: http://www.mongreldogaudio.blogspot.com/ for more details. |
