I had Scott Lindgren's Sachiko design custom made for me in Rosewood by CarderSound ---{who I believe went out of business since}--- I originally replaced the stock FE206E first with FE206ES-R drivers which were a very significant improvement. Later I replaced those with Fostex FE208ES-R drivers. These are Fostex's extremely limited edition ---{250/prs world}--- that don't have whizzers. I extend the highs with Fostex T900a horn tweeters that cross in at 10KHz.

I thought that was Audio Nirvana, UNTIL I heard a pair of Dayton PS220-8 drivers that had their cones treated! The combination of Sachiko/PS220-8 is absolutely astounding! I can play YES, Kansas, EL&P etc. at volumes that will drive you from the room. But it's only the volume that drives you out of the room. The drivers don't "break-up" and once I get out of the audio room go through the kitchen ---{the audio room and kitchen are attached. There's only a small wall that separates them which runs from floor to ceiling and extends only 4 feet out from the rear wall}--- which now places me 18ft away from the Sachiko/PS220-8 combo where I am now listening to crystal clear music.

In fact the sound is not only crystal clear without the slightest hint of "cone break-up" But if you can imagine listening to EL&P playing "The Endless Enigma" from 18ft away at volumes where you cannot talk to the person sitting next to you without constantly saying "what?" or "huh" while your foot is tapping to the music and you understand what I mean!
