This photo is the YBA CD4 that I'm presently using as a transport with the Audio-gd Reference 7.1 DAC. I had previously been using either the Bluenote solid state Stibbert or the tubed GoldNote Stibbert CDP since 2003 ---{GoldNote is who Bluenote became after Bluenote records threatened to sue}--- I couldn't find CDP I thought was more analogue sounding than the Stibbert! However on 7/2016, after just one listen to this YBA CD4 it replaced the tubed GoldNote Stibbert ver. 5. I loved so much! Truth be told, the YBA Genesis CD4 is the most analogue CDP I've ever heard! This player uses a top loading Sanyo HD850 CD transport and incorporates the YBA's patented Blue Diode design. YBA has a Blue Diode that shines on the CD and according to YBA allows the laser to read the bits with less errors and jitter. All I can say is it's so darn good I sometimes think I'm listening to a TT, except then I realize there's no pops or ticks and I'm dragged back to reality...
