The speaker could reproduce up to 10- 15khz with eq. it was about 90-91 db sensitive. I used it as a sub in my car for a while good bass. though its biggest design flaw was a weak frame which would cause coil rub, the magnet assy. had to be supported with some adjustable bars. Yeah, it was my first serious attempt at making a speaker.

To answer the question, years later of course, the cone is constructed out of two layers of roofing paper with the grain of the paper rotated by 90 degrees with respect to each other (the paper naturally is curved when it comes off the roll), glued with Elmer's. The disk was cut and glued into a cone. The surround and spider were picked up at National Speaker in Denver
