So I have a pair of JBL SVA 2100 and they are now discontinued. They are great speakers and when I slightly modified the Xover they became very good refrence speakers. They where great even before I changed the caps. I do reviews and have had many speakers at multiple times the price not do what these speakers do well. That being said I would like to find or build a center channel and surround to compliment this design. It is a two way design with a horn loaded soft dome tweeter and two 10 inch woofers connected in parellel. These speaker are great with single ended tube amps biamped or alone though with less volume. The two way design I have always had a soft spot for even up to the crazy Ushers. I am not sure if anyone else has done any good designs but the studio needs extra channels and I could even look at building a whole new system. Its funny they never cuaght on to well and the bad reviews ppl did give them are often more to do with the shortfalls of the associated equipment.
Any ideas? suggestion? where to start? |

Greets!
Well, the obvious response is you need to follow ebay, etc., for the matching CC, etc. since the tweeter is no longer available, with no viable replacement AFAIK, so you can't even DIY 'clones', leaving either buying/DIYing a new system your other options. Since you're so pleased with this system, the folks here should be able to help you come up with a plan: http://audioheritage.csdco.com/vbulletin/ GM
