No sub needed for Fostex FE166 BLH
Just upgraded mY Fi X SET amp with Magnequest OPT. and I have bass I can feel and hear. From what Inderstand it added 6db gain under 100
I'm just floored by these speakers and my amp

Can't say I'm surprised -duff OPTs are almost invariably the cause for the poor LF performance of many valve amps. Get a decent set of OPTs on them, and watch the bass appear. Glad you've got your system singing. Now what you need are a pair of Dave's phase plugs if you haven't already.
