You should wonder why they are being offered surplus.

In many cases these drivers are used in systems with electronic equalization and have rather ragged frequency response curves.

These might be wave radio full range drivers (Not great without eq, arguably not a whole lot better with :D ) which have no pole piece shunt. They could also be cube driver replacements which may or may not have a shunt, and which have no real usable response below 200Hz. (Not enough xmax and too small.)

Bose FR drivers designed for use in non-powered applications usually usually have a copper shunt on the pole piece. I don't read German so you would need to know whether or not they had the shunts. I'd stay away from any that don't. (Shunt versions supposedly have much flatter in band response.)

The price is pretty low, but then the performance of these drivers isn't stellar. Might work well in a small array for home theater or similar.
