Default Hi-Vi M4N

I remember reading a post that dismissed the M4N as a full range driver. Parts Express now lists this driver under the "extended range driver" section. In looking at the sample response curve, it looks very similar to the Hi-Vi B3S which I really like. Can someone explain why this driver wouldn't work as a full ranger?

I think you're referring to this comment:

The M4N is no fullrange. If you look at the responce graph you can see it's ok for a midrange, but anything over 5000Hz is impossible to fix. The 1,5k bump can be tamed with a passive filter.

Both types 'll probably give a forward representation; based on FR I wouldn't say one type could pass and the other couldn't. Zaphs Fr of the B3N looks surprisingly 'flat' on top when compared to the
manufacturer's curve, even without the notch.
