Default anyone removed phase plug from TB W3 871S

If anyone has a busted one they would try it on? I think it is probably just threaded on a stud.

I had another speaker with a concentric tweeter which was attached that way, but you could see the bolt from the back of the speaker.

i want to machine some reflection cones for up firing them. and if they are bolted to where the phase plug gos it would be ideal

That way i do not need any frame or anything for the cone.

Sorry, glue is used. No threads.

Also, as you change the volume of air sitting within the cone area (replacing plug with dispersion cone) you will do all sorts of bad things to the transducer's performance.
