Default RILA RF 4005 speakerbox?

Hello!

I´ve resently bought a pair of RF 4005 speakers that Im planing on putting together to a small speaker for my Ipod, to have in my VW bug^^
Now to the question, What size should the box have? How can i figur it out myself?

Best Regards

There isn't enough data available on the link you provided to design a properly aligned box, but taking a look at the picture, they appear to be designed for installation in a car door/ rear shelf/ dashboard, or perhaps a TV.
If you can't fit them into a vehicle panel, I would make sealed boxes as large as you can live with, as this is how they are designed to be used.
Ten litres for each speaker might be an acceptable size, and try to make each dimension of the box different, to prevent some notes in the music being much louder than others.
I hope this might be useful to you.

Bob

Hi slowfly,

The WR RILA RW4005 is direct comparable to the FR RF4005 but without a whizzer cone.

Before the sale of PE’s 49-cent NSBs, from where I still have quantities of, I experimented with long arrays using the RW4005.

Found today more than 10 left in my hidings, grabbed one and measured the T/S parameters.

See the result in the following pictures:
