Hello,
Been reading posts on op-amps - very interesting differences in SQ noted. Though I know its subjective, does anyone have an opinion on which would sound best in a high pass filter feeding gainclones driving FE206E's in BLhorns? Has anybody used the LM318 as suggested in Walt Jung's landmark series "Op Amps for Audio" in TAA? |

Well thats a pretty specific application but I would say the NE5534 series op amps would do the trick, they are very low noise, cheap enough and I would expect quite a bit better than the 318s.
They are by all accounts a very flexible op amp to use in terms of Power Supply etc and this is the type of application they are meant for. Many claim the Phillips versions are better than the others but I really don't know if that is the case. |
