If you saw my dayton rear horns in another thread, I'd like to do something similar but add a 10 on 12 inch horn loaded woofer for bass.
Tweeter, dayton fullrange as mid range but use filters to steal the low frequencies for the eminence delta 10 or 12. tweeter dayton 5" fullrange eminence delta 10 or 12 I'd want to horn load the bass speaker. Not sure the proper way to do it though. Rear load it like I did my other project, or maybe do a lascala type thing? Id want the bass to be stiff so you could feel it hit your bones, not that real low, loose stuff. Help me. My saw blades are sharp and I'm willing. And hey, if the whole idea stinks.. you can tell me that too. I wont be offended. |

I can't test this free eminence software myself, as I have a mac, but it might help you with your enclosures.
www.eminence.com/resources_designer.asp You are likely to find that the bass system will be far more sensitive than the dayton you are using, but I can't find Thiele/Small parameters for dayton, so I don't know for sure. Good luck. |

Man, what a cool site. I checked the spl of the drivers and you are right about sensitivity. I'm going to look for another midrange.
