Where do you EU guys buy your fostex fullrange speakers?
I am considering the Fostex 166E or 206E. Looking at the market I found that they cost nearly 100usd less for a pair from the states including the larger shippingcost! Thats not really fair, is it Any advice on a decent place to order from, will be appriciated. I havent been able to find a dealer here in Denmark. Steen |

I'm listening in from the sideline. Have a dream of a full-ranger, and from what i read here and there, Fostex would be a good bet. ( Though not as cheap as Tangband )
Let's hear it boys and girls |

1. prices in USA are always without VAT 2. Tax and customs vary in each country 3. Madisound as "the distributor" gets the drivers from Fostex Japan but the German shops get the drivers from the German distributor Try to import the drivers yourself from Madisound and after shipping, tax and customs you will get a price close to the European prices! Regards Thorsten

That's a very interesting question, Steenoe....
Madisound also sells Seas at appx 60% of the scandinavian retail price... make's one wonder who's cheating who ![]() Validator.. you are partly right, of course . European VAT range from 17-25%.. and US local taxes are not listed, albeit much lower. OTOH- european drivers should be cheaper in EU than US.. don't you agree??? |
